Bay Island Blu

Bay Island Blu is a Sarasota waterfront home renovation originally designed by CMSA and later reimagined into a refined coastal residence. Over time, the home was thoughtfully re-envisioned by the firm, transforming both its interior and exterior into a refined West Indies–inspired residence. The renovation preserved the home’s strong architectural framework while introducing warmer materials, layered detailing, and a more relaxed coastal expression. Expansive windows and elevated living spaces continue to frame long views across the water, reinforcing the home’s relationship to its island setting. Guided through both its original conception and later transformation, Bay Island Blu reflects continuity in design thinking while allowing the architecture to evolve in response to place, lifestyle, and time.
