Completed in 2021, Garden House is a modern residence in Boca Grande that unites two adjacent properties—one dedicated to the home and the other to expansive gardens. Together, they form a private retreat along Florida’s Gulf Coast, where architecture and landscape are conceived as a single, integrated experience. Rising three levels with an additional rooftop terrace, the home is defined by clean vertical lines and a disciplined composition of solids and voids. This clarity of form supports panoramic views across the island while reinforcing a strong connection to the surrounding gardens. At every level, interior spaces open fluidly to terraces and outdoor rooms. Expansive views to the south frame a mature live oak, extending sightlines from the living and great rooms to shaded and screened outdoor spaces beyond. Throughout the property, gardens weave around and through the architecture, creating a sequence of courtyards, paths, and outdoor living areas that soften the modern form.
