Solara

West Indies Influence, Coastal Light

Solara—also known as Lido Rose—expresses a refined interpretation of West Indies architecture tailored for Sarasota’s coastal lifestyle. Designed as a 4,300-square-foot custom residence, the home balances traditional island forms with light-filled, contemporary interiors. Crisp white façades, expressive wood detailing, and symmetrical massing establish a calm architectural rhythm. Inside, layered ceilings, warm natural textures, and expansive glass openings create a seamless connection between interior living spaces and the pool terrace, reinforcing a sense of ease and coastal continuity. Featured in Home & Design Magazine (2024) and honored at the 2025 SEBC Aurora Awards for design excellence.

Design Concept: Solara’s architecture draws from classic West Indies precedent while responding to modern coastal living. Broad rooflines, deep overhangs, and refined detailing provide both visual balance and environmental comfort. Interior spaces are organized to maximize natural light and framed views, allowing sky and water to shape the daily experience of the home—an architectural expression directly reflected in Solara’s name.
